CK Group are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager for a leading British Manufacturing company. This role will be on a full time, permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client is a British-based manufacturer of a broad range of cleaning, waterproofing and aftercare products as well as many private label ranges. They have been in operation for over 80 years and are market leaders in their field. Their technical innovation, product efficacy, and customer satisfaction are their main drivers and have a dedicated manufacturing facility. With a focus on textile applications, the company now has a vacancy for a Technical Manager This is a hands on role where you may need to get your hands dirty and the company offers a salary in the region of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.

Location:

This role is located in Derbyshire, easily commutable from Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield. 

The Role:

  • Formulation development and product testing assuring that all existing products are at the forefront of current technologies and bringing new innovative product ranges to the market.
  • Management of a small existing Technical Team, supporting and guiding, where necessary.
  • Regulatory compliance and document management.
  • Supporting customers with NPD projects.
  • Management and distribution of MSDS for the entire product range.
  • Quality Assurance.
  • Quality and environmental system management.
  • Work closely with internal teams on development projects.
  • Technical support and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

  • At least three years’ experience in a chemical-based role.
  • Ideally have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or related qualification in Chemistry or a relevant field.
  • Computer literacy – MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to interpret limited technical information and completely convey information to others.
  • A passion for NPD.
