CK QLS are recruiting for a Supply Chain Specialist to work closely with a local procurement and manufacturing team based in Schachen, on a 12 month contract. 

They will be responsible to ensure that direct and indirect material ordering is executed as per the site budget and production plan.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Continuously improve the material management process on site.
  • Ensure purchase orders are placed in line with lead times to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Ensure material planning processes meet schedule need as well as safety, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Ensure campaign spendings are in line with the sites budget plan and cost are allocated to the correct cost centers.
  • Ensure invoice and payment issues are resolved with the invoice processing to adhere to the agreed payment terms.
  • Ensure supply chain records in supplier transparency are created and maintained for all direct procured materials.
  • Ensure material forecasting is kept current in the site’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system in line with the material planning cycle.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to communicate the material ordering plan.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Procurement, CBRE, Manufacturing) for material and supplier selection.
  • Build an excellent relationship with suppliers of assigned categories in order to ensure value is created and delivered for the site.
  • Work with local and global ERP process stewards to build capability.
  • Leverage the site’s ERP system to deliver the site’s digital vision, working closely with the ERP Community of Practice.
  • Network with above site ERP subject matter experts to build expertise in oneself and others.
  • During schedule execution ensure value stream customers such as Manufacturing and In Process Control are well communicated.
 

Your background:

  • Bachelor of Science in Science, Engineering or a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a relevant academic or industry field.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Direct Material planning experience.
  • Biologics drug substance manufacturing experience is desired.
  • Experience in SAP or relevant ERP System.
