Senior Technician (Food Material Sciences)
CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Technician (Food Material Sciences) to join a global leading food brand company at their site based in Reading on a contract basis for 5 months.
Salary:
£16.03 - £20.84 per hour PAYE
Senior Technician role:
- Provide high quality stakeholder engagement at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of samples/prototypes and data generated and timely/accurate provision of results.
- Perform a range of sample preparation and operate pilot plant equipment under supervision of a senior member of staff.
- Operate basic lab equipment as directed.
- Run trials within given deadlines and in accordance with GMP and HACCP requirements.
- Provide training in routine activities and methods.
- Perform IRIS admin and housekeeping duties as directed.
- Will be expected to work across the different Ingredient Research teams, if the demand is required.
- Assist with the documentation of SOPs for simple equipment and tests and generation of Risk Assessments and COSHH.
- To understand and work to the requirements of GMP and HACCP.
Your Background:
- Educated to Degree / HNC level in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Good understanding of relevant process/product technology. Able to demonstrate experience of practical application of theory infood or engineering/scientific related discipline (preferred).
- Computer literate in standard MS office applications.
- Scientific understanding and ability to conduct practical trials inrelevant area under supervision.
- Experience of working with applying your scientificunderstanding to experiment planning (formulating hypotheses)and analysis of results (validation of results against hypothesis) (preferred).
