CK Science are seeking a Senior Sales Manager - Biopharma to drive our clients services, assay development programs, and strategic alignments within the life science industry. The role will involve approaching potential customers within the life science industry where the companies liquid biopsy services can be of great value in support of their oncology drug development and companion diagnostic test development process.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Travel: 20-30% travelprimarily throughout North America, but on occasion internationally

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales plan to reach out to relevant individuals and groups in the pharma sector.
  • Work with marketing and clinical team to define and develop data to support sales plans. Collaborate with marketing to assist in the development of marketing materials as appropriate.
  • Build relationships/network with biomarker and translational groups within the pharma sector
  • Build visibility and reputation in the biopharma services sector.
  • Proactively find and then manage new pharmaceutical leads as they move down the sales funnel (e.g. proposals, contracting, budgeting, etc.).
  • Account management of existing customers to maximize biopharma services revenues.
  • Work closely with both the R&D and GCLP labs
  • Travel to meet with potential/current customers and attend essential biopharma and liquid biopsy conferences
  • Perform such other duties and responsibilities that are consistent with the role of a Senior Biopharma Services Sales Manager or as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Attributes:

  • BSc or MSc in Life Sciences with a strong preference for a PhD with an oncology focus
  • 1-2 years of lab experience or working with a translational medicine team.
  • 7+ years of proven biopharma oncology diagnostic sales within the clinical trial market and/or other related biopharma diagnostic sector(s).
  • Extensive oncology clinical research network within the biopharma industry and oncology centers of excellence.
  • Demonstrated sales experience in closing, maintaining relationships, and problem solving to address the needs of clinical researchers across the biopharma industry.
  • Experience drafting and pricing service agreements with pharma companies.
  • Strong understanding of the oncology drug development process and specifically the role of clinical biomarkers – CTC, ctDNA, RNA, mRNA, extracellular vesicles, cfDNA, etc.
  • Strong understanding of various diagnostic testing platforms to include, NGS, RT-PRC, ddPCR, immunofluorescence, micro-array, etc.
  • Demonstrated understanding of oncology drug market, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapies,and the use of companion/complementary diagnostics in the delivery of care.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate regulatory requirements (e.g. GCLP, ISO, CLIA, OSHA, HAZCOM).
