The offered role is associated with the AO Bioassays group, which is handling cell-based and cell-free potency and identity assays for biologics in development. The group’s responsibilities include method validation, routine analytics, as well as method transfers to contract laboratories and commercial release testing sites. The AO Bioassays team is looking for a lab associate with prior experience in cell-based analytics; experience in a GMP-regulated environment is a plus but not mandatory. 

 

Major Accountabilities:

  • Plan, perform, and interpret GMP potency analyses for the timely delivery of Company Biologics drug substances (DS), drug products (DP).
  • Take over new potency assay methods from Company internal partners and existing methods.
  • Maintain and qualify analytical.
  • Document your experiments and related activities; check and review your peer’s documentation.
  • Contribute to reports and method documents intended for internal and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance to cGMP and to Health, Safety & Environmental rules.
 

Education & Qualification:

  • Minimum: Technician with continuing education or Bachelor/Master degree at relevant scientific discipline or equivalent Desirable: Advanced degree in a technical, scientific or relevant discipline (MS or equivalent).
  • Fluent in English (oral and written). Basic skills in German are an advantage.
  • Apprenticeship in related discipline and some years of experience in related field.
  • BS + 2-5 years industry experience.
  • MS + 0-2 years industry experience.
