Job Opportunity: Engineering Lead & Plant Engineer (F&U)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Lead & Plant Engineer, to join our Neuchâtel site. This is a cross-functional leadership role, responsible for the successful execution of complex technical projects across a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for GMP-critical systems, leading and supporting the full lifecycle of engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—Metrology, Automation, EHS, Validation, and others—to ensure all engineering workstreams are aligned with project goals, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate engineering workstreams across various disciplines to support site-wide projects.
- Act as SME for critical GMP systems, including HVAC, WFI, cooling systems, chillers, process gases, and building utilities.
- Oversee design, qualification, and continuous improvement of equipment and systems.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project timelines, quality expectations, and are compliant with cGMP, GEP, and EHS regulations.
- Actively contribute to investigations, deviations, and CAPAs.
- Chair engineering team meetings and ensure robust stakeholder, scope, and risk management.
- Promote fit-for-purpose design solutions, challenging over-engineering where necessary.
- Ensure adherence to the organization’s Portfolio Lifecycle Management and escalation protocols.
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related scientific field).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations and engineering best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional technical projects.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluent French & English (German is an asset).
