Process Chemist

CK Group are recruiting for a Process Chemist on behalf of a leading Fine Chemicals manufacturer at their site in Staffordshire on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

•    To propose modifications to existing processes in order to improve efficiencies,

•    To propose, design and introduce to the plant new processes utilising best practice, new equipment and technology,

•    To propose and justify process change via understanding of relevant cost benefit analysis.

•    To consider and address the safety implications of introducing new processes (COSHH) assessments, HAZOP studies) or implementing changes to existing processes

Candidate Requirements:

•    Minimum graduate or equivalent in Organic Chemistry. 

•    Experience in an industrial research & development environment. 

•    To have a detailed knowledge of chemcial plant processes. 

•    Able to design and conduct statistically meaningful experiments, collecting, evaluating and documenting all relevant information. 

•    IT skills including Microsoft Office suite and Experimental Design.
