CK Group are recruiting for an Observational Research Scientist to join a biopharmaceutical company who are based in Uxbridge, on a contract basis for 12 months.

Location:

The role is based in Uxbridge and offers hybrid working with requirements to be on site once a month.

Salary:

£38.77phr PAYE or £51.28phr Umbrella.

Observational Research Scientist Role:

  • Be responsible for writing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), developing medical code lists for studies, guiding data analysts to explore large healthcare databases and interpreting the study results and outputs.
  • Contributes to projects using real-world healthcare data assets and guide analysts to explore RWD.
  • Contributes to research strategy within the product team and epidemiology TA.
  • Provides input into epidemiology department meetings.
  • Stays abreast of the latest developments in the field of epidemiology and drug development, healthcare RWD and contributes to the field.
  • Promotes understanding and use of RWD and epidemiologic methods.
  • Communicate significant scientific information to a variety of audiences.

Your Background:

  • Educated to MSc or Doctorate level in Epidemiology or a related field with high epidemiological content.
  • Experience in the design, execution, and analysis of epidemiology studies within Pharmaceutical or Public Health setting.
  • Prior experience with large databases such as Marketscan or CPRD and experience in SAS, R or other statistical software is highly desired.
  • Experience in working with observational data and epidemiological project planning and management.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and organization and time management skills are essential.
