Microscope Engineer

Jocelyn Blackham is recruiting for a Microscope Engineer to join a specialist company refurbishing high quality laboratory equipment at their site based in Beverly, MA. This position is offered on a permanent basis.

Microscope Engineer Role:

• Conduct in-house and field services including repair, calibration, upgrades, verification, validation, reconditioning, and integration of laboratory equipment.
• Provide technical assessments of new instruments, managing inventory, fulfilling orders, and updating procedural and equipment documentation.
• Research and understand product designs and capabilities.

Key duties will include:

• Troubleshooting and problem solving on microscopes, cameras and imaging systems.
• Developing and implementing cost-effective service strategies and quality assurance procedures.

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Degree or professional training in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a background in Chemistry/Biology or similar fields.
• Proven experience in laboratory equipment repair and maintenance.
• Previous experience servicing brands such as Zeiss, Nikon, Olympus, Leica is beneficial.
