The CK Group are working exclusively with an independent family owned pharmaceutical company to secure a new Medical Affairs Manager on a permanent basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced medical affairs professional (GMC RegisteredMedical Doctor or potentially a GPhC Registered Pharmacist) to lead the medical and regulatory affairs function in an internationally visible and diverse role within an inclusive, supportive and team orientated company.

Hybrid working with offices in Buckinghamshire

Overview:

To lead the medical and regulatory function and to provide high quality scientific and clinical support to the company’s medical and marketing activities both locally and, as necessary, internationally. To build new relationships and maintain existing relationships with key external stakeholders. To participate in role related international teams within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • To be the medical expert and provide medical andscientific support to brand strategies, product claims and promotional and non-promotional materials
  • To lead the day-to-day activities of the local Medical Affairs group including dealing with queries from HCPs and patients
  • To maintain a goodworking knowledge of UK/Ireland regulatory and pricing procedures
  • Review and sign off promotional and non-promotional materials in line with the ABPI Code of Conduct
  • To develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and be a lead participant in company advisory board activities
  • To be the scientific organiser of scientific meetings; locally, nationally and where appropriate internationally
  • To support the evaluation of local or global business opportunities
  • To be an active participant in international medical affairs projects
  • Support the development of medical affairs projects & publications plans

Your Background:

  • Ideally be medically qualified (MD, MBBS, MBChB with full GMC registration and a licenceto practice)
  • Experience in clinical practice is strongly preferred
  • Medical Affairs industry experience
  • Excellent understanding of the NHS, customer facing experience and the ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, inflammation and/or metabolic disorders would be highly advantageous.
  • UK Registered Pharmacist (GPhC) registered with final signatory status and extensive experience in the above therapy areas will be considered.
