Mechanical Technician
CK Group are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join a chemical company within the waste management industry. This vacancy is based in their site in Sunderland and is a full time, permanent role.
Salary:
£36,000 - £38,000 per annum
Mechanical Technician role:
- Manage workload to ensure safe, standardised and efficient maintenance of all plant and equipment as per CMMS task instructions, statutory requirements and technical documents
- Responsible for performing and overseeing the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of all relevant mechanical equipment
- Contribute to the scoping and installation of projects including the provision of labour, supervision of contract labour, commissioning, snagging and hand over of installed equipment
- Identify and perform appropriate repairs / upgrades and routine maintenance requirements
- Report all equipment defects, faults or alarms and that any issue is appropriately handled ensuring any unsafe items are suitably isolated and communicated
- HNC Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working on either COMAH or PSSR site.
- CompEx Mechanical qualifications and experience working in hazardous areas - desirable
