Mechanical Engineer

CK Group are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a biotech company at their site based in Abingdon on a permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client is developing and deploying world leading, sustainable, pest control solutions without the use of chemicals.

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum

Location:

This role is located at our client's site in Abingdon.

Mechanical Engineer Role:

Your main duties will be:

• Designing, manufacturing and maintaining novel insect rearing systems.
• End to end involvement in projects from early stage development through to final handover.
• Prototyping and testing products and components alongside science and data teams.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have

• A degree level education in mechanical engineering.
• Excellent design experience and a confident user of CAD packages (ideally Solidworks).
• Knowledge of automation systems.
• Hands on experience in a workshop environment.. Experience in the life sciences would be highly advantageous.
