IT Support Technician

CK Group are recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join a pharmaceutical company at their site based in Cambridge on a permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client is a world leading bio-pharmaceutical company with products in neurology, immunology, gastroenterology, and inflammatory diseases.

Location:

This role is located at our client's site in Cambridge.

IT Support Technician Role:

Your main duties will be:

• Perform inhouse IT support activities and escalation calls to the external IT support provider when needed.
• Set up of hardware and software (e.g. laptops, desktops, docking stations, VoIP phones).
• Support of existing infrastructure hardware and software (e.g. routers, firewalls, servers, arrays, email & cloud technologies).
• Maintain security systems and the security of networks.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have

• Previous helpdesk or IT support experience.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure used in dispersed organisations such as IP networking, DNS, group policies, Office 365, Azure & intune.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, physical and virtual server environments.
