Environmental Specialist

CK Group are recruiting for an Environmental Specialist to join a Chemical company at their sites around Wigan on a permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client is a world leading manufacturer of polymers and specialist synthetic resins.

Location:

This role is located at our client's site in Standish, but will also cover their other site in Wigan.

Process Engineer Role:

Your main duties will be:

• The management and improvement of the company's environmental management system.
• To provide guidance on environmental legislation and internal environmental standards.
• Developing the environmental strategy for the company.
• Continually improve the company's environmental performance. 

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A degree level education in environmental sciences or chemical engineering.
• Prior experience in environmental management in chemical manufacturing.
• A broad and in-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, ISO14001, ISO50001 and environmental permits.
