CK Group are recruiting for a Cheminformatics Researcher to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Bracknell on a contract basis for 12 months.

 

Salary:

Hourly £20.20- £28.28 per hour PAYE

 

Cheminformatics Researcher role:

  • Develop and implement cheminformatics algorithms and tools to support drug discovery projects.
  • Support data analysis efforts for structure-based drug design projects with substructure searching, fragment analysis, R-group analysis, chemical space diversity and enumeration activities.
  • Build predictive models for project data using machine learning tools (SVM, XGBoost, Random Forrest)
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cheminformatics, machine learning, and NLP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute computational experiments.
 

Your Background:

  • At least 3 years of experience in cheminformatics, bioinformatics, or related field (software engineering, computer science, etc).

  • Experience with cheminformatics software and tools (e.g., RDKit, OpenEye, Cresset)

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.

  • Experience in machine learning models and data ingestion workflows.

  • Experience in deploying AI-based workflows (e.g., REINVENT, chemprop, etc).
