Chemical Process Engineer

CK Group are recruiting for a Chemical Process Engineer to join a chemical manufacturing company at their site in Chesterfield. The first 12-months will be primarily based at the company’s head office in Chesterfield with occasional travel to existing customer sites and equipment vendor factories.

The Role:

• Performing sizing calculations and/or operational experience of Heat Transfer equipment
• Involvement in projects or plants with powder handling equipment
• Mapping a processand constructing process flow diagrams
• Developing P&ID’s and layout sketches
• Writing scopes of work for equipment vendors and plant installation contractors.
• Has interfaced with control systems by defining interlock schedules and specifyingthe logic for sequence operations.

Your Background:

• Degree qualified Chemical Engineer.
• At least 5-years of experience in a projects role or working within the chemical manufacturing industry.
• Experience of applying mass & energy balances in industry or in process design roles.
• Proficient in pressure drop calculations and selecting pumps or fans.
