Analytical Chemist

CK Group are recruiting for an Analytical Chemist to join a leading plastics recycling specialist company based in Leamington Spa, on a full time, permanent basis offering a salary upto £35,000 per annum.

The company:

Our client is a leading recycling specialist company offering their service to polymer industries.

Location:

The site is based in Leamington Spa and is commutable from Birmingham, Rushden and Coventry.

The Role:

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Autonomously carrying out R&D projects and writing up reports.
• Checking that callibration records for the instruments are upto date.
• Establishing SSOW procedures and helping maintain KPIs.
• Supporting the routine operation of the Quality Lab.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Degree or PhD qualified in Chemistry or related.
• R&D experience.
• A background in ISO 17025 analytical experience.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing or recycling - desirable.
• Good laboratory skills: chemical testing (XRF and GC-MS), physical testing and wet chemistry techniques (liquid/liquid extraction, pH, EC).
