CK Group are recruiting for a LIS Engineer Support Specialist on behalf of an industry leading manufacturer of Scientific instrument, to be primarily based on one of their client sites in Stevenage, on a permanent basis.

About the role: As a member of the onsite specialist engineer team based on one of their Client sites, the main purpose of this position is to provide high quality support to the engineering team to help provide a high-quality service to a wide range of laboratory equipment within the R&D community. This will involve stock control, work order management, engineer administration and entry level maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Primarily based at a client site in Stevenage but on occasions may require travel to other UK R&D sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide administration support for the LIS engineers
  • Play a key role in parts management
  • With the rest of the team carry out periodic stock counts
  • Assist with workload planning, booking of PM work orders, scheduling of reactive and nonreactive work.
  • Assist engineers with day to day duties to develop your own skills and ability.
  • Undertake support of tier 1 equipment
  • Use technical knowledge to identify and source components and services.
  • Create, manage and review supporting documentation e.g. Service reports and procedures
  • Assist with the contract management and callout of 3rd party vendors.
  • Keep end users appraised to the status of the work order throughout the lifecycle of the work order

About you: To be considered for the role, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in a fast paced, operational environment
  • Experience of working to a GxP standard desirable.
  • 2+ years’ experience within Scientific services or similar sector
  • An interest in learning technical competencies
  • High customer focus
  • Ability to travel
