Analytical Chemistry Specialist - Wines and Spirits
CK Group are recruiting for an Analytical Chemistry Specialist on behalf of a leading provider of technical services to the global food and drinks industry, to be based at their site near Redhill, Surrey on a permanent basis.
About the role: Themain purpose of the position is the analysis of wine & spirits (and other matrices as required)
Your duties will include:
- Supervising the operation of the Wine & Spirits group, including but not limited to client contact, resources, training,developing new/improved techniques, validating methods, reporting and technical excellence.
- Routine analysis of wine & spirits and associated materials using instrumental methods.
- Dealing with non-routine enquiries and requests for bespoke analysis
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Complying with all relevant policies, procedures and instructions – including health and safety requirements.
About you: To be considered for the position you should have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified to a minimum of degree or masters level (or possess equivalent experience) in chemistry or another relevant subject
- Competence in the operation and maintenance of analytical equipment including HPLC and GC- Extensive experience in the use of classic wet chemistry techniques
- Experience in the interpretation of data and reporting scientific results
