CK Group are recruiting for Technical Services Manager to join an innovative sealing solutions manufacturer based in Slough, Berkshire. This is a full time permanent role offering a salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience and involves a lot of travelling (60%).

Responsibilities of a successful candidate:

The purpose of this role will be to assist customers on site with their induction seal and lining issues and to offer technical support to the sales team when introducing products in the marketplace. This exciting role involves root cause analysis and engineering of solutions for the successful processing of products on the customers manufacturing lines.

  • Assist customers in setting correct parameters and tolerances for lining/cutting equipment.
  • Evaluate customer’s failed product performance and determine the root cause.
  • Attend line trials and assist customer in achieving a successful technical performance.
  • Write internal and external reports concerning package evaluation.
  • Provide technical support to customers during the implementation of new products.
  • Carry out analysis of materials from the competition used by customers to understand the required characteristics in specific technical applications.
  • Carry out testing of the performance of finished products in the lab as assigned from the line manager.
  • Support the Quality department with technical investigations related with customer complaints, including visits on the customer’s line.

The Technical Services Manager should have the following skills and experience: 

  • Educated to Degree Level (Masters preferred) in chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry or materials engineering.
  • 3 years+ experience in R&D or Process Engineering - essential.
  • Happy with travelling as this role involves 40% - 60% of time travelling in EMEIA locations.
  • Competent use of computerised statistical analysis tools (Minitab).
