CK Group are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Representative to join a chemicals manufacturing and distribution company at their site based in Aylesbury on a full time, permanent basis. This role will involve travelling UK-wide.

The Company:

Our client specialises in supplying raw materials. They now have a need for a Technical Sales Representative to join the UK sales team. The Sales team maintain excellent relationships with customers, developing new business and giving technical support to customers’ R&D departments. This role will be based out of the Aylesbury head office with frequent travel around the UK. There is great scope for creativity and personal development within this role, and you will be supported by extensive training on products, a fully equipped laboratory, enthusiastic and supportive colleagues, and outside training where required. This role is essential in enabling the company to continue to provide customers and suppliers with excellence in innovation and customer service. Location:

This Technical Sales Representative role is located in Aylesbury, commutable by road from surrounding areas including Oxford, Milton Keynes, London and more. Please note a valid UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.

Your main duties will be:

  • Develop strong technical understanding of the company's wide range of Personal Care ingredients, their chemistry, benefits, and formulation characteristics.
  • Visiting a variety of UK customers to develop long-term working relationships with their R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams.
  • Communicating scientific information clearly and concisely.
  • Attend relevant industry events, such as UK and Global exhibitions.
  • Develop strategies and growth plans for customer accounts, to seek out new business opportunities.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

  • A strong scientific education and preferably a degree in a scientific subject.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working in Sales in either the Personal Care or related sector - desirable.
