Site Services Technician
CK Group are recruiting for a Site Services Technician, to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Wyton, on a permanent basis working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00.
Role
This role supports the effective running of site services, ensuring compliance with health, safety, bio-security and welfare standards, while managing waste, stock, and supplier activities.
Responsibility
- Safely load and unload vehicles, manage waste streams, and ensure correct disposal in line with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of waste management suppliers and support internal and external audits.
- Receive, store, and transfer supplier products to correct locations with accurate stock control.
- Adhere to site restrictions, procedures and biosecurity requirements to maintain safety and security.
- Conduct and record daily and weekly checks of site services areas, reporting and arranging repairs where needed.
- Safely operate equipment including forklift trucks, ensuring qualifications are up to date.
- Supervise and support cleaning, movement of equipment and crate transfers within site services.
- Follow all safety instructions, wear appropriate PPE, and report accidents, near misses or equipment issues promptly.
- Minimum 5 years in a warehousing or site services environment.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade A–C) or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills with attention to detail for routine manual work.
- Ability to hold maintenance skills, forklift certificate
and driving license
- Knowledge of waste stream processes, warehousing systems, and preferably qualified in a mechanical trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with databases or similar software desirable.
- Proven ability in maintenance management or facilities services with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and liaise effectively with contractors and colleagues.
