Supplier Engineer – Medical Devices/Pharma

Groningen, The Netherlands.

12-month contract (possible extension).

A leading healthcare company is looking for a skilled Supplier Engineer, to join their team in Groningen. In this role, you’ll lead critical projects focused on raw material supply chain performance across global sites, supporting quality, delivery, cost, and design initiatives. You'll work closely with suppliers, engineers, and cross-functional teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical projects across raw material supply chain with a focus on injection molding.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination.
• Support NPI and lifecycle product changes from design to implementation.
• Collaborate with global teams and sites (e.g., Groningen, Kulim, Anasco).
• Lead or support complex supplier quality investigations and capacity planning.
• Use Lean/Six Sigma and data-driven tools to identify process improvements.
• Contribute to the development of young talent through mentoring initiatives.

Must-Haves:

• 5–10 years in engineering within medical devices or pharma.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding and raw materials.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Fluent in English; able to work on-site in Groningen 4–5 days/week.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Dutch proficiency (some documentation in Dutch).
• Supplier management experience.
• Familiarity with GMP, Six Sigma, GD&T, and Minitab.
