Safety Coordinator

CK Group are recruiting for a Safety Coordinator to join a chemical company in the aerospace industry at their site based in Shildon. This is a 6 month fixed term contract.

The Company:

Our client manufactures paints and coatings for the aerospace industry.

Salary:

Up to £17.15 per hour (PAYE).

Location:

This role will be site based, at our client's manufacturing site in Shildon.

Safety Coordinator Role:

Your main duties will be:

• Writing risk assessments and standard operating procedures for the maintenance department.
• Reviewing and editing (if appropriate) existing SOPs to ensure they meet all UK and company requirements for safe working.
• Provide temporary health & safety support for the maintenance team.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Previous experience writing risk assessments and SOPs within manufacturing.
• A NEBOSH certificate.
• A solid understanding of maintenance tasks within manufacturing, however engineering level understanding isn't required.
