R&D Chemist

CK Group are recruiting for a R&D Chemist, to join a Chemical company at their site in Wigan, on a permanent basis. The hours required are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm, with a rate of £12.60 per hour.

In this role you would be developing new products on a lab scale.

The Company:

Our client is a world leading manufacturer of polymers and specialist synthetic resins.

Location:

This role is located at our client's site in Standish, near Wigan.

R&D Chemist Role:

Your main duties will include:

• Experimental R&D work according to a manual.
• Laboratory sample preparation.
• Testing and evaluation of raw materials and products.
• Equipment calibration.
• Report generation and ensuring all work is recorded.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Chemistry diploma or degree (HNC/BTEC, at least level 4 equivalent, or degree).
• Experience working in a busy laboratory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
