CK Group are working in partnership with a leading UK life sciences biotechnology company to recruit an experienced Principal Scientist with expert virology knowledge, to join them at their site based in East London on a permanent basis.

The Company:

An industry-leading clinical development services business based in East London

Principal Scientist Role:

  • Provide scientific expertise, leadership and advice to multiple projects.
  • Develop training plans and deliver study management training programs alongside line managers.
  • Training, mentoring and supervising all Senior Research Scientists and Study Leads.
  • Client facing role, supporting in the setup of their projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full Study Management function.
  • Provide technical advice and expertise in clinical study design, in line with client requirements.
  • Attend client meetings and conferences as a technical expert in virology, viral challenge model and GMP Virus.
  • Expert understanding of the mechanism of action of viral infection and antiviral drugs and vaccines.
  • Have an expert knowledge in the field of virology as well as a thorough understanding of developments in assay technologies.

Your Background:

  • Degreein relevant scientific subject or PhD in Biological Science.
  • Expert Virology knowledge gained throughout academia and industry.
  • Working knowledge of GLP labs and standards.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor.
  • Experienced in project management and providing technical support to senior key stakeholders and clients.
