Principal Scientist, Virology
CK Group are working in partnership with a leading UK life sciences biotechnology company to recruit an experienced Principal Scientist with expert virology knowledge, to join them at their site based in East London on a permanent basis.
The Company:
An industry-leading clinical development services business based in East London
Principal Scientist Role:
- Provide scientific expertise, leadership and advice to multiple projects.
- Develop training plans and deliver study management training programs alongside line managers.
- Training, mentoring and supervising all Senior Research Scientists and Study Leads.
- Client facing role, supporting in the setup of their projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide full Study Management function.
- Provide technical advice and expertise in clinical study design, in line with client requirements.
- Attend client meetings and conferences as a technical expert in virology, viral challenge model and GMP Virus.
- Expert understanding of the mechanism of action of viral infection and antiviral drugs and vaccines.
- Have an expert knowledge in the field of virology as well as a thorough understanding of developments in assay technologies.
Your Background:
- Degreein relevant scientific subject or PhD in Biological Science.
- Expert Virology knowledge gained throughout academia and industry.
- Working knowledge of GLP labs and standards.
- Ability to supervise and mentor.
- Experienced in project management and providing technical support to senior key stakeholders and clients.
