New Product Development Scientist
CK Group are recruiting for a New Product Development Scientist to join a leading medical diagnostics company at their site based in Sunderland on a permanent basis.

Our client are a leading medical diagnostic company with an international reputation, specialising in the design, manufacture and support of IVD analysers and reagents.

This role is located in Sunderland
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Testing of gel electrophoresis products according to pre-assigned testing and validation protocols, identifying and investigating any detrimental trends via good attention to detail and root cause analysis.
- Documentation of all test work according to GMP/GLP standards.
- Creation of newand update of existing validation protocols in line with updates to international regulations.
- Routine maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
- To develop, maintain and apply in-depth theoretical electrophoresis knowledge to support routine and novel research and development opportunities.
- To work in accordance with Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines when handling reagents and chemicals used in automated and manual techniques. Complying with all statutory and site safety regulations.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Degree in life sciences or related
- Sound knowledge of gel electrophoresis and methodologies
- Knowledge of GMP/GLP standards
- Good laboratory practice
- Proficient in Office applications, accurate collection of data and the use of scientific and statistical analysis software
