CK Group are recruiting for a Moudling Production Technician, on behalf of a global medical technology company, working night shift 11pm-11am full time. This is a permanent position based in Plymouth.

The Role:

This role will be responsible for the production of plastic components

using injection moulding machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating injection moulding machines to produce plastic components according to specifications.
  • Troubleshooting any issues with the machines or processes through root cause analysis and technical fault finding.
  • Completion of routine planned maintenance - Weekly, Monthly & 6 Monthly.
  • Assisting PM Technician with annual maintenance tasks on machines.
  • Working safely and adhering to all health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborating with all members of shift core team including Operators, Quality Technicians, Engineers and Shift Leaders.
  • Documenting production data and maintaining accurate records through SAP.
  • Conducting regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Your Background:

  • Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g: C&G, HND) or a time served apprenticeship.
  • Experience in maintenance and fault finding in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in an Electrical Technical based role is a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques is a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience of Injection Moulding is desirable although not mandatory.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
