Microbiology Team Leader

CK Group are recruiting for an experienced Microbiology Manager on behalf of a growing Cell Therapy CDMO, to be based at their site in Cambridge on a permanent basis.

The Role:

To oversee the company's microbiology activities and ensure effective contamination controls are in place within the manufacturing facilities. This role will require working within the laboratory, performing microbiology testing and supporting/ training junior scientists.

Responsibilities:

• To be main point of contact for clients supporting any outsourced microbiology testing.
• To grow the microbiology team and support implementation of additional clean rooms and laboratories, as well as attracting further clients.
• Lead environmental monitoring (EM) of cleanrooms, personnel monitoring, raw material testing, product sterility assurance, product release testing and stability.

Your Background:

• Degree qualified (MSc, PhD) plus industry experience within a microbiology field.
• Extensive experience of GMP and QC, within a customer facing position.
• Experience of working with rapid microbiology methodology and ATMPs.
• Line management experience.
