CK Group are recruiting for a Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis initially for 6 months with the potential to be made permanent.

Salary:

£13.30 per hour PAYE

Microbiology Laboratory Technician Role:

  • Will provide hands-on assistance to support the operation and goals of the laboratory by supporting experiments and projects under technical guidance.
  • Will support a range of analyses, prepare and maintain standard equipment and chemicals required for running of an analytical laboratory.
  • Ensure compliance to the appropriate internal and external standards, and capture and report data with technical rigor and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment and be proficient in generic and specific software packages.
  • Perform lab admin and housekeeping duties as directed.
Your Background:

  • A Life Science/ Microbiology degree or equivalent, or A-levels in relevant subjects.
  • Previous experience working in a GLP environment would be beneficial.

  • Effective verbal and written communication in English.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for working in the food industry.
