Key Account Manager (Life Sciences)
CK Group are recruiting for a Key Account Manager (Life Sciences) to join a multi-award-winning food and pharmaceutical contract research organisation on a permanent basis.

Our client is a cutting-edge Contract Research Organisation (CRO), providing research, analysis and consultancy to the food, pharmaceutical and consumer goods industries. Their diverse pipeline of projects varies from creating or validating new products to completing analytical investigations. Location:
The role will be a remote based position with an estimated 25% travel to clients, conferences and an office in Reading.
Your responsibilities will include to:
- Manage, service and seek new sales opportunities with existing clients and lead with operations, marketing and commercial teams to deliver a complete service offering to the market.
- Analyse, innovate and creates a plan for engaging the target market, identify, prioritise and lead sales growth with existing clients and support the team through external events, client contact activity, create and nurture client relationships and partnership programming
- Manage major proposals, identify potential clients, track, build relationships and close sales opportunities
- Act as the central point of contact for your accounts and connect with operations, technical experts to maximise existing client opportunities as well as developing new client opportunities through your business development activities
- Actively engage in professional industry bodies. Network and present back findings to commercial lead, technical and leadership team. Identify new seminars/events where our technical experts can present or you can attend to foster existing and new client relationships.
- Mentor an Account Support Executive who are supporting you on your day to day administrative tasks.
About you:
To be considered for the position, you should ideally have the following skills and expertise:
- Degree educated within a scientific discipline.
- Around 3 years experience working for a CRO or CDMO in a sales capacity, selling services to the life science sector.
- Experience in mentoring junior team members would be an advantage.
