Head of Quality
CK Group are recruiting for a Head of Quality to join a global chemical manufacturing company at their facilities located in Durham on a permanent basis.

Our client is a leading chemical manufacture, specialising in producing thermoplastic products and exports them globally.
Location:
This Head of Quality position is located in Durham, UK.
The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust quality assurance processes, systems, and procedures to optimise product quality. This role requires a wide skill set including managing direct reports, coaching, motivating, and influencing other functions including Sales, Manufacturing, Technical and finance.
You will additionally be responsible for:
- Leading a team of professionals (Quality, QC and process engineer), providing guidance, support, and training.
- Driving forward continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operations.
- Leading efforts to reduce customer complaints and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conducting regular audits and inspections.
Your Background:
- Degree qualified in Chemistry, engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive line management and strong leadership skills, with ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong background in both GMP and REACH.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to PVC compounding manufacturing (beneficial).
