CK Group are recruiting for an Associate/Research Scientist – Human In Vitro Assays to join a new lab in London embedded in one of Europe's leading life sciences venture ecosystems. This lab supports early-stage biotech companies developing and running complex in vitro assays that help guide real-world drug discovery.

The role will be based at their site in Kings Cross, London and is a permanent role with Mon-Fri day time working hours.

The Role

You’ll work directly on complex cutting-edge human primary cell assays to generate the data that shapes new therapeutics. You’ll be part of a small, focused team, with an opportunity to take ownership of impactful research projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply previous experience and literature analysis to develop complex cell assays to answer key mechanistic questions on projects
  • Maintain high standards of record-keeping for delivery of data and reports to clients
  • Execute medium/high throughput screening of novel antibodies/compounds
  • Excellent communication of data and advise on strategy to external stakeholders

Your Background:

Essential:

  • Minimum BSc or equivalent in a Biological Science.
  • At least 1-2 years post-graduate experience in an industrial or translational lab setting (pharma or biotech).

  • Previous experience in human primary immune cells
  • Direct practical knowledge of flow cytometry
  • Experience maintaining electronic note books
Desirable:

  • High throughput screening cell assay screening
  • Development of flow cytometry assays
