Agriculture Technical Officer
CK Group are recruiting for a Technical Officer to join an agricultural company based in Leicestershire, on a full time, permanent basis offering a salary upto £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
The Technical Officer will be responsible for ensuring overall technical and regulatory compliance across a wide range of horticultural products. This will include overseeing the registration of the company's plant protection and biocidal products and technical compliance of their fertilisers within the UK and EU. This wide-ranging role includes ongoing liaison with consultants, GLP laboratories and efficacy testing organisations alongside participation in various industry taskforces to ensure compliance with relevant UK and EU regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the registration/renewal processes for the plant protection and biocidal products, coordinating with consultants and external GLP laboratories as well as overseeing product labelling and compliance.
- Conduct liaison with GLP laboratories to address data gaps and stay updated with changes to regulatory guidance.
- Support product development by assessing feasibility of new products. Identity and record R&D project costs.
- Preparation and updating of product labels and information for product brochures.
- Manage the Plastic Tax, oversee Packaging EPR submissions, WEEE, and Batteries compliance.
- Provide technical support for company products and represent the company in CropLife UK meetings.
- Ensure all products comply with CLP, Fertiliser Regulations, and maintain MSDS and health & safety documentation.
- Facilitate exports, liaising with distributors and handling Certificates of Analysis/Conformity.
- Assist in sales/marketing support, annual costing exercises, and commodity code allocation/updates.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience in a regulatory environment.
- Strong knowledge of the pesticide and biocide regulations in the UK and EU.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience in product labelling, compliance, and participation in industry taskforces.
