CK Group are recruiting for an Account Manager on behalf of an industry leading manufacturer of Scientific instruments. This role will be field based covering the Scotland and North England Territory on a 12 month contract basis.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas and goals by driving new and repeat business.

The product portfolio falls into two areas:

  • Separation Sciences including Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC);
  • Spectroscopy including Ultraviolet (UV), Infrared (IR), Atomic Absorption (AA) and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP).
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Compete for all sales opportunities within the territory and build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Constantly attempt to secure business in new accounts
  • Gain knowledge of customer funding procedures
  • Develop and maintain the CRM customer/prospect records
  • Attend seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations to promote business
  • Maintain knowledge of products as well as competitors products and prepare, collect and maintain presentation aids.
  • Regular business forecasts
About you:

  • Educated to degree level or above in Analytical Chemistry or a related field
  • Experience with laboratory techniques including

    Gas Chromatography (GC), Liquid Chromatography (LC), (UV), Infrared (IR), Atomic Absorption (AA) and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP).

  • Proven sales experience, within laboratory Instrumentation will be an advantage or strong hands on experience with relevant platforms.
  • Good presentation, communication and inter-personal skills including negotiation skills
  • Prepared to be field based and travel throughout the territory and further afield when required.
