Project Engineer

CK Group are recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a Chemical company at their site based in Wakefield on a permanent basis.

The Company: Our client is a chemical manufacturer who are active in the development, production and commercialisation of products. They are a rapidly growing company in the UK with a fantastic corporate culture.

Location: This role is located at our client's site in Wakefield.

Project Engineer Role: This is a great opportunity for a process engineer to vary their experience by managing small to medium sized capital projects. For a project engineer this is a great opportunity work on capital projects alongside continuous improvement and NPI projects.

Your main duties will be:

• To manage and deliver engineering capital project from concept through to commissioning and start up.
• To contribute to projects in a highly technical manner. You will be directly involved in design, R&D and quality management.
• To ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Acting as the site coordinator for continuous improvement activities.

Your Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have

• An degree in chemical engineering is essential.
• Experience in project and process engineering in the chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing regulations and safety protocols.
• Understanding of control systems and instrumentation would be highly beneficial.
