Senior Scientist - Stem Cells

CK Group is recruiting for a Senior Scientist - Stem Cells to join a biotechnology start-up based in Cambridge on a permanent basis.

The company: Our client are creating pioneering tools and techniques to develop and optimize Cultured Meat bioprocesses to make it viable at the largest scale.

Benefits: Salary between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience plus other benefits including share options.

As a Senior Scientist - Stem Cells, you will be establishing primary cell lines, maintaining proliferation of stem cells as well as their differentiation into meat muscle and adipose tissue. As an early team member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our clients technology and the company's direction with the opportunity to build and develop a team.

Your Background: The successful candidate will have:

• Stem cell culture and differentiation experience
• Experience with analytical techniques such as immunostaining, qPCR, and fluorescence/ confocal microscopy- Experience with running a laboratory and leading junior scientists
• A Ph.D. or 5 years of research experience in Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline.
