Senior Immunologist

CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Immunologist to join a company in the healthcare industry at their site based in Stevenage on a contract basis for 12 months.

Salary: PAYE £34.81 per hour, UMB £45.51 per hour.

Company: Our client at Stevenage employs world-class scientists and is driving cutting-edge innovation. It is the UK's largest cell and gene therapy cluster.

Location: Stevenage. This facility provides world-class research into developing and supplying innovative medicines, vaccines and healthcare products. There is plenty of on-site parking with eating venues and gardens.

Senior Immunologist Role:• Develop cellular assays and determine mechanism of action across a wide-range of immunology-related projects associated with T cell function.

• Contribute to ongoing and developing projects that will uncover novel biological mechanisms and associated targets in T cell biology.
• Work in close collaboration with PIs from academic institutes.
• Perform laboratory experiments, data analysis, record keeping and reporting of results to agreed timelines, and give presentations at internal meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all R&D data integrity practices, ethics codes, standards and training, and safety training and practices.

Your Background:

• Science graduate or ideally educated to PhD level in immunology or a related field withadditional lab based research experience.
• Practical experience of working with human-derived biological material (blood/tissue).
• Knowledge and practical experience in the isolation of human primary cell types.
• Experience and proficient in the running of advanced multi-parametric cellular detection systems such as high-content imaging, flow cytometry, multiplexed immunoassays.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, interacting with scientists and our academic collaborators at all levels.
