CK Group are recruiting for a Research Associate with expertise in Flow Cytometry to join a global leader in bioanalytical services, to be based at their site in London on a permanent basis.

The Company: Specialises in biomarker services for global biopharma clients. They have laboratories situated around the globe and the London branch focuses on the identification, development, analysis and interpretation of biomarkers in clinical trials.

Location: This position is based in North London. It is very close to the London Underground and major bus routes, and is easily accessible from across London and Hertfordshire.

Research Associate Role: Use fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular platforms to perform routine clinical sample processing tasks requiring application of established techniques, procedures, and criteria as well as conducting fee-for-service analyses of biological samples

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assays as per in-houseSOPs and validated protocols with minimal supervision involving various biological samples.
  • Perform good housekeeping of the laboratory, maintain and properly use instruments and laboratory space and monitor the use and consumption of reagents, material and consumables via LIMS.
  • Ensure clear audit trails by performing quality control of all information and data generated.
  • Support senior scientists with the development of various assays and assist with multiple projects in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Your Background: Essential qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level BSc or above in Life/Biological Sciences (preferably immunology) with experience in a laboratory environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a laboratory in flow cytometry/ELISA.
  • Excellent technical skills and experience in running and analysing immunological assays (Flow Cytometry, ELISA, ECL, ELISpot etc) and operating laboratory equipment (e.g. flow cytometers / MSD / Epoch / Autoanalysers).
  • Expertise in immune cell isolation techniques and experience with primary cell culture techniques.
