Laboratory Technician
CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a company in the healthcare industry at their site based in Ware on a contract basis for 3 months.
Hourly Rate:
- 22.07 PAYE or £28.85 UMB
Company: Our client is a leader in respiratory medicines for over 45 years and has been developing and producing inhalers to deliver their respiratory medicines at the site in Ware since 1969.
Location: Ware. This facility demonstrates the company’s commitment to manufacturing in the UK which continues to be a very positive environment for life sciences. The site offers plenty of parking and fully functioning canteen for all staff, with attractive outdoor seating in the summer months.

Laboratory Technician Role:
- Operate, calibrate and routinely service various items of equipment.
- Be responsible for daily provision of high standards of animal care, welfare and husbandry.
- Acquire/ maintain an understanding of the equipment involved in Hygiene Support and associated areas.
- Clean and disinfect / sterilise animal cages, water bottles and associated items making full use of equipment provided e.g. Autoclaves, Rack Washer, VHP, Automated washing systems, Bottle washer.
- Monitor stock levels of consumables, order consumables.
Your Background:
- Level 2 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Husbandry, Laboratory Animal Science and Technology or equivalent
- Experience working with animals in a laboratory environment
- Some experience of using technical equipment within cagewash/hygiene support
- Good communication skills
