CK Group are recruiting for a Junior Regulatory Specialist to join a chemicals manufacturing company at their site based in Chorley on a full time, permanent basis.

They are now ideally looking for a science graduate with proven industry experience to support the Regulatory Managers. Please note this Junior Regulatory Specialist role is fully office-based. Location: The Junior Regulatory Specialist will be based at the company's site in Chorley, easily commutable from surrounding areas.

The role: The Regulatory function operates a pivotal role within the business, ensuring products are safe, comply with applicable regulatory requirements, providing advice to business units with the goal of protecting the company and their brands whilst also enabling the sale and supply of their product ranges across the UK and Europe. As part of the Regulatory team in the UK, this position provides key regulatory support both within the Regulatory team and cross-functionally,relating to requirements for the importation, production and sale of cosmetic and adhesive products in the UK, European and Global marketplace.

Your main duties will be to:

  • Facilitate and collate the creation of regulatory input in packagingbriefs for inclusion upon product packaging and other internally and externally facing marketing materials.
  • Review draft product packaging artwork and other outward-facing consumer-focussed material for use in various countries and markets to ensure regulatory compliance and industry best practice.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of product and market specific regulatory documentation and information, with a view to owning specific projects.
  • Organise, collate and support the assessment of product and raw material information from suppliers, gathering information, identifying, and filling gaps as applicable.
  • Collate, maintain, organise and assess regulatory documentation across cosmetic and adhesive products, including butnot limited to safety assessments, safety data sheets, technical data sheets and any other relevant documentation.
  • Using available resources including existing horizon scanning tools, keep abreast of emerging technical and regulatory issues within the geographical areas of responsibility, sharing out relevant updates as applicable.
  • Support the Regulatory team within new product development projects, contributing to project deliverables, reporting progress and challenges to the Regulatoryteam as appropriate.
  • Lead the Regulatory Product Review process as part of the new product development process, identifying and purchasing relevant samples, gathering, and recording relevant regulatory information to support the new product development process.
  • Operate as primary contact for cross-functional requests, including but not limited to regulatory surveys and general enquiries.

Your Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:• Degree qualified or equivalent in a regulatory affairs or science discipline.

  • Proven relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements relating to the placing upon the market of consumer chemicals (adhesives) and/or cosmetic products.
  • Knowledge of common regulatory resources and tools.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with demonstrable experience of multi-project working
  • Ability to review and interpret data and information.
  • Flexibilityto allow occasional domestic and international travel
